Panchayat member Karmchand (22), resident of Kaithal in Haryana, died in Russia. On Saturday, his body reached his native village Janedpur. Here the family members performed his last rites.

The family says that Karmchand had gone to Russia in July this year. He wanted to go to Germany, but the agent fraudulently sent him to Russia and got him enrolled in the army. He died in the blast here.
After one and a half month his body reached the village. The family demands that they should be helped financially and Karamchand’s younger sister should be given a government job.

Died in the blast on 6 September Karamchand’s aunt Sukhwant Kaur told that Karamchand had gone abroad on July 7 through an agent named Bittu Kaganthali. The agent was given Rs 8 lakh to send him to Germany, but he fraudulently sent Karmchand to Russia, where he was recruited into the army. Karmchand was being forcibly sent into the war, and died in a blast on 6 September.
Death was reported on September 19 The aunt further told that on September 19, the family received information about Karmchand’s death. Karmchand’s cousin sent this message to the family through Telegram. After this the family contacted the local administration and the Ministry of External Affairs. Almost a month later, on Friday night, Karamchand’s body reached the village.
Karmchand was a member of the Panchayat, dreamed of joining the army. Sukhwant Kaur told that Karmchand was a member of the Panchayat in the village and used to do farming. His dream was to join the Indian Army, but he could not succeed. After this, he dreamed of going abroad and improving the financial condition of the family.
