Conversation between Rahul Gandhi and Akanksha’s mother
Akanksha’s mother: Hello!
Rahul Gandhi: Hello!
Akanksha’s mother: Hello Sir!
Rahul Gandhi: Hello! Today I was going to the airport. I felt very sad when I read your daughter’s letter. That’s why I called you, if there is any help or work I can do, I can do it.
Akanksha’s mother: What can I say to you? You yourself are protecting the country. Whatever is mine will never come back.
Rahul Gandhi: Yes, I saw… It was not her fault, she had done nothing wrong. Just studied. You took a loan.
Akanksha’s mother: What hurts most is that he worked so hard. Perhaps if this paper had not been leaked, this would not have happened. We don’t even have anyone else. We had only one support. His father depended on him, I depended on him.
Rahul Gandhi: I saw in the letter. He felt like he ruined you. You took a loan. He ruined you. Meaning, how much pain and sorrow the poor girl must have felt.
Akanksha’s mother: Now you can think for yourself after reading the letter. When he wrote like this, how could his parents have brought him there?
Rahul Gandhi: You did your best. He felt that his entire dream was shattered just like this.
Akanksha’s mother: I was completely broken. He said that I have got good marks. If my paper had not been leaked, I would have become a doctor, because I was the eldest girl in my family. My son is small, he can’t do anything. He hasn’t even graduated yet. His father is not worth anything. They cannot even drink water with their hands.
Rahul Gandhi: Did he have a paralysis attack?
Akanksha’s mother: He had undergone operation for two attacks. Paralyzed also. His right hand does not work.
Rahul Gandhi: I wanted to call you. If anyone has anything of worth to me, please inform the NSUI people.
(Meanwhile, Akanksha’s elder father Hanuman Prasad Chaturvedi spoke to Rahul Gandhi. Said- Rs 2.5 lakh have been received through you. Rs 50 thousand are going to arrive today.)
