Actress Kangana Ranaut has supported Deepika Padukone amid the ongoing debate regarding working hours in the film industry. Recently there were reports that Deepika Padukone has left some big budget projects due to her conditions and fixed working schedule.

Deepika demands that she will work only 8 hours a day. Now Kangana has taken Deepika’s side on this matter and said that what she is saying is absolutely right and she has earned this position with hard work.

Kangana said- Now Deepika is not replaceable In an interview with ANI, Kangana Ranaut said that priorities change with time. Kangana said that I do not think there should be any controversy on this matter. Deepika has achieved the position she is at today through her hard work.

She is now a mother, she has a daughter. If today she wants to work for 8 hours, she has earned this right. Kangana made it clear that when there is a new artist, he can be replaced, but for a star like Deepika, the makers should adjust to her timings.

Used to work 12-14 hours in old days Kangana also remembered her and Deepika’s initial struggle days. She told that in the initial phase of their career, both of them were very passionate about success. Kangana said, there was a time when we would not agree to less than a shift of 12 to 14 hours.

Deepika once told me during an Imtiaz Ali film that she was working 12 hours a day. I had then said that I work for 10 hours. There was a hunger inside us then, we wanted to succeed.

Concern expressed over work pressure on women Talking about work-life balance, Kangana said that in today’s time, too much pressure is being put on women. He said, we are putting double the burden on our women to do double the work along with raising children. Then we talk about falling fertility rates and broken marriages.

If a top actress like Deepika is asking for time to balance her family and work, then there is nothing wrong in it.

There was talk of leaving Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Let us tell you that last year there were reports that Deepika Padukone had left director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film ‘Spirit’. The main reason given for this was the working conditions and the demand for 8-hour shifts.
