A new claim has been made regarding the rape-murder of an 11 year old girl in Delhi. According to police sources, the accused cab driver was suffering from erectile dysfunction. His impotence report has also come positive. The accused told the police during interrogation that he tried to rape the girl in the back seat of the car. But he could not do so due to erectile dysfunction. The accused said he threatened the girl with dire consequences if she raised any noise and then took her to an isolated forest area near the Faridabad-Gurugram border. Where he was murdered and the body was hidden under a pile of stones. The accused kept taking the girl for 12 km in the car. A family of five was sleeping in a row on the footpath, in which the girl was between her mother, aunt, brother and father. Police said that accused Bashu Kumar Singh had parked his car right next to them and its back door was open. He picked up the girl in his lap and laid her down on the back seat of the car. As soon as the car started moving, the girl regained consciousness and shouted for her father. Due to which he woke up. Police said that in an attempt to stop the car, his father ran after him and threw sticks at him, but the accused drove away. The only thing the girl’s father remembered was that the number plate of the vehicle was yellow, which indicated that it was a commercial vehicle. The accused took the girl towards Mandi Road near Fatehpur Beri for about 10 to 12 kilometers. After disposing of the body, the police said, the accused returned to his rented house in Gurugram, changed his clothes and went back to work as a cab driver within a few hours. Later, the police watched CCTV footage of nearby shops, traced the route of the vehicle and found the accused. The accused tried to run away, got shot in the leg. After arresting the accused on June 24, the police was taking him to recreate the crime scene. Police claim that he tried to run away. To stop him, he was shot in the leg. The accused, a resident of Khagaria district of Bihar, was living in Delhi for five years and used to work as a security guard before becoming a cab driver in 2023. Delhi Police is preparing to send notices to three big cab aggregator companies associated with the accused, so that they can get information about his onboarding and verification process.
