Speaking to Hindustan Times, Chitrangada said that such cases are not limited to women only. He told, “John Abraham and I had gone to a college in Delhi to promote the film I, Me Aur Main. We had to go on stage and then leave immediately. Then the crowd started increasing and suddenly I saw that people were trying to drag John away. John turned back and gestured to me to follow him. He was trying to save me and wanted to take me to the car. As soon as we sat in the car, John took off his shirt and there were scratch marks all over his back. Nothing happened to me, Because there were a lot of women in that college.”

The film I, Me Aur Main starring John Abraham, Chitrangada Singh and Prachi Desai was released in 2013.

She further said, “I was shocked to see this, because he (John) was trying to save me and due to this he got scratched on his back. I believe this can happen to anyone, it does not happen only to women.”

Regarding the incident with Nidhi Agarwal, Chitrangada said, “In some events, the situation becomes uncontrollable because it is necessary to control the crowd. I had seen those videos of Nidhi and they were really scary. Maybe it is the responsibility of the agencies managing the events to keep the artists safe, but it was very scary. I don’t understand how they could be left in such a place, how did this happen to them.”

Actually, there was a scuffle with actress Nidhi Agarwal in Hyderabad on December 17 last year. The actress had reached the song launch event of Prabhas starrer film The Raja Saab. During this time the crowd surrounded him badly. The actress had to reach the car with great difficulty amid the tug of war.

During the launch event, the crowd suddenly increased, people surrounded Nidhi Agarwal from all sides.
