A two-seat F-4 Phantom jet of the Greek Air Force crashed during an air show on Saturday. The accident occurred at Tanagra Air Force Base, north of Athens. As soon as the plane fell, a cloud of black smoke was visible in the sky. Several thousand spectators were present at the time of the accident. However, there were no immediate reports of any spectator injuries. The condition of the two pilots aboard the plane is not clear yet. It is also not known whether he was able to eject in time or not. No parachute was visible immediately after the accident. Rescue team engaged in extinguishing the fire. A fire broke out at the spot after the crash. A helicopter tried to extinguish the fire by spraying water on the spot, while rescue teams remained on the ground.
