Actress Sonam Bajwa’s film ‘Pitta Siyapa’ is embroiled in controversy in Chandigarh. Due to copyright dispute, Chandigarh Court has currently banned the release of the film. As per the case, writer Rajan Nandan claims that the story of the film is based on the script written by him. He told that this script was registered in the year 2021. According to the writer, when the promo of the film ‘Pitta Siyapa’ was released on 27 March 2026, he came to know that the story of the film was similar to his script. After this, on April 1, 2026, he sent a legal notice to the parties related to the film. The next hearing will be on April 28. As the matter escalated, the author filed a petition regarding copyright in the Chandigarh court. After the preliminary hearing, the court has ordered to ban the release of the film.
