This footage of the accident is viral on social media.
A cargo plane crashed near Louisville International Airport in the US state of Kentucky. There are reports of many people being injured in the accident, but the number has not been confirmed yet.
This was a UPS company plane, which crashed just minutes after taking off from the airport at around 5:15 pm (local time).
After the accident, dense smoke and flames were seen in the southern part of the airport. Strong fire and debris are visible in the video posted on social media.
Louisville Police (LMPD) said that there is still fire and debris at the accident site.
Police have ordered people living within a radius of 8 km from the airport to stay indoors. Also, the airport is currently closed.
