The company’s first experimental satellite Erendil-1 will be equipped with a reflector mirror about 60 feet wide. It will remain in orbit about 640 km above the Earth and will divert the sun’s rays towards a particular location when needed. The company claims that this will deliver four times more light than the full moon within a radius of about 5 km. The company plans to deploy two satellites by the end of 2026. The target is to create a network of 36 satellites by 2027. The most ambitious plan is to deploy more than 50,000 satellites by 2035. Will help in disaster relief, rescue The company says that this artificial light of the sun can be used in disaster relief, search and rescue operations, construction work at night, farming, solar energy projects and in remote areas. Rs 4.7 lakh Ben Novak, CEO of Reflect Orbital, says that if a customer contracts annually for at least 1,000 hours, the company will charge about $ 5,000 (Rs 4.7 lakh) for one hour of sunlight from a mirror.
