In Nepal on Wednesday, sudden flood from Tibet caused huge devastation in Rasuwa district. Floodwaters and debris from Timure to Trishuli Bazaar and Betravati destroyed homes, roads and bridges, while a hydropower project was also washed away. The flood situation in many areas was such that even the helipad was washed away and the rescue helicopter had to return without landing.

Floods enter Nepal causing devastation in Tibet
The horrific scene of flood was captured in the CCTV camera at Rasuwagadhi border point of Tibet on the Nepal-Tibet border. From here the flood entered Nepal.
Gyirong Port on the Tibet-China border was also hit by the sudden flood. Dozens of people present here were swept away.
Flood breaks dam of power plant as soon as it enters Nepal
The dam of the 216 MW capacity Upper Trishuli-1 Hydroelectric Project near the Nepal-Tibet border broke due to the strong flow of water.
After the dam breach, there was a rapid flow of water on the Trishuli basin.
Water entered the market, destroying everything
The water entered Trishuli market with strong current and took away everything with itself.
The suspension bridge built on Trishuli river in Kurinetar, Chitwan, Nepal broke due to the strong flow of water.
Goods vehicles, transport traders and employees have been affected by the floods that came from the Tibetan area in Timure of Rasuwa in Nepal.
The flood water from Rasuwa has reached Narayanghat in Chitwan, where water reached the statue of Lord Buddha.
Survey-rescue was done by helicopter
When a young man trapped in the flood waved his T-shirt and signaled, an army helicopter rescued him.
The Disaster Management Department of the Government of Nepal conducted an aerial survey of the flood devastated areas. Damage was seen in many areas.
When the flow of water stopped, a scene of destruction was seen.
People’s household goods were washed away in the strong current of flood. Many people jumped into the river to rescue him.
After the water flow stopped in Rasuwa district, broken houses and vehicles buried under debris were seen.

The sudden flood from Tibet has caused huge devastation in Rasuwa district of Nepal. Many houses in Timure and Syabrubesi areas have been damaged due to the sudden rise in the water level of Bhotekoshi river.
A hydropower project in Rasuwa also got hit by the flood and was washed away. According to news agency AP, so far 8 people have died.
