An FIR has been demanded against Honey Singh.

Bollywood singer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh is in controversy regarding his song. He is accused of spreading obscenity regarding the song ‘Nagin’ which was released two years ago. Punjab BJP co-coordinator Arvind Sharma has complained calling the song obscene and demanded registration of FIR.

Jalandhar’s BJP leader has complained to the DGP regarding this. It has been said in the complaint that too much nudity has been shown in the video of Naagin Song. This song is full of obscenity, hence it should be deleted from other platforms including YouTube.

What did the BJP leader write in the letter to DGP?

  • Nudity and lewd dance in the song: In the complaint given to DGP, Arvind Sharma said that the video of Naagin song contains objectionable scenes including nudity, lewd dance, which are against Punjabi culture. He alleged that Punjabi music and identity was being defamed in the name of entertainment. The culture of Punjab is known for respect, dignity and respect for women, but such songs hurt the sentiments of the society.
  • Song without age limit is playing on YouTube: Arvind Sharma has written in the complaint letter that this song is playing on YouTube without any age limit category, which can have a negative impact on children and teenagers. He called it a matter of serious public interest. He said in the complaint that strict legal action should be taken against Honey Singh and other responsible people.

The song was released 2 years ago Honey Singh released the song Naagin 3.0 on YouTube 2 years ago on 15 April 2023. Even then people have raised objections regarding the video of this song. Now the BJP leader has raised the demand to remove this song from other platforms including YouTube. Besides, a demand has also been made to take action against Honey Singh.

Contrary to Punjabi culture and traditions

In the complaint given to BJP, Arvind Sharma alleged that nudity, lewd dance and objectionable scenes are shown in the said song, which is completely contrary to Punjabi culture and traditions. He said that in the name of entertainment, Punjabi music and its identity are being defamed, which is extremely worrying.

Songs hurt the sentiments of the society

Arvind Sharma also said that the culture of Punjab is known for respect, dignity and respect for women, but such songs hurt the sentiments of the society. The complaint also mentioned that the video featured objectionable attire and vulgarity, which has never been a part of the Punjabi music tradition. The BJP leader expressed concern that the song was available on YouTube without any effective age restriction, which could have a negative impact on children and teenagers. Describing it as a matter of serious public interest, he has demanded strict legal action against Honey Singh and other responsible people.
