Actually, Shriya informed on Instagram on Saturday that she has started shooting for the film. The actress has shared two pictures related to the film. In the first picture, the clapboard of the film is visible, while in the second picture, Shriya is seen with other actors including Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Rasika Duggal.

In the caption of the post, he wrote, “After 8 years… guess who has returned from the jaws of death. Mirzapur: The Film. Currently shooting is going on. See you soon.”

Let us tell you that Shriya played the character of Sweety Gupta in season one. This character is killed in the first season. However, now once again Shriya will be seen in the role of Sweety in the film.

‘Mirzapur: The Film’ will be released in theaters this year. Prominent actors like Pankaj Tripathi (Kaalin Bhaiya), Ali Fazal (Guddu Pandit), Divyendu (Munna Tripathi), Abhishek Banerjee and Jitendra Kumar will be seen in the film. The film is being directed by Gurmeet Singh, while the story is written by Puneet Krishna.

It is being produced by Excel Entertainment. The film will stream on Prime Video about eight weeks after its theatrical release. The shooting of the film started in September 2025.
