Neha Dhupia asked Rhea that in an interview, your mother had asked that how will my daughter heal from this, have you completely recovered from this? So in response the actress said, ‘This is not something from which you can ever recover completely. This is trauma. Even if it is not present in the mind, its effect remains in the body. He further said, ‘It could be a condition like PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). You take therapy and try to deal with it slowly. Because our thing is in public, people talk and think about it. During the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, a T-shirt by Rhea Chakraborty was also in the news, in which a line related to ending patriarchy was written. Now Riya has said on her decision to wear that T-shirt, ‘I wore that T-shirt because it was a part of my first chapter. When I was arrested, I was wearing a T-shirt that read, “Roses are red, violets are blue, let’s smash the patriarchy, me and you.”, that T-shirt spoke for me when no one was speaking for me. I said make more T-shirts that can help those people for whom no one speaks. Riya said that this is the reason why she started a clothing brand (Chapter-2) with brother Shouvik, in which she is making T-shirts. After the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, who remained in jail for 27 days, his father had accused Rhea Chakraborty of abetting suicide. Apart from this, after the issue related to drugs came to light, the Narcotics Control Bureau also took the actress and her brother Shouvik under investigation. Due to the case, Rhea Chakraborty was in jail for 27 days. CBI gave clean chit to Rhea and her family in its closure report on 22 March 2025.
