Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s multi-starrer film Ramayan is on the verge of breaking many big records. The film has already rejected an OTT deal worth Rs 700 crore, after which now there are reports that the deal for only Hindi distribution rights of this Pan India film is being done for Rs 450 crore. According to the report of Variety India, the producers of the film are demanding Rs 450 crore for the distribution of the Hindi version of the film Ramayana. Whereas till now the most expensive distribution rights have been sold for 250 crores of Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming film King. If this film does a deal for Rs 300 crore instead of Rs 450, then it will become the biggest distribution deal in the history of Bollywood. The report also claims that some distributors like Anil Thadani and Jayantilal Gada believe that Rs 450 crore is a big price to pay for only Hindi distribution of a film. He has advised manufacturers to consider cutting down on it. However, the makers of the film have full confidence in the success of the film and are adamant on this amount. Currently, the makers are in talks with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, AA Films and Penn Studio on this deal with producer Namit Malhotra. According to trade experts, the film Ramayana can create history by collecting Rs 1000 to 1500 crores in India alone. It is expected to earn up to Rs 2500 crore worldwide.
