Sharad Pawar and Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde met on July 8 in Mumbai.

In Maharashtra politics, there is speculation about NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) joining NDA or merging with Congress. However, party state president Shashikant Shinde has termed all these discussions as complete rumours. He said that such things are being spread to weaken the opposition and spread confusion among party workers. He gave this information while talking to the media.

These speculations were further strengthened when Sharad Pawar met his party’s MLAs in the chamber of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde after the meeting held at Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai on July 8 on the Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute. Earlier, the meeting of BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde and NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) state president Jayant Patil was also in the news.

However, while giving clarification on this entire incident, senior NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) leader Jayant Patil said that this decision was taken purely for practical reasons. Jayant Patil told that the party MLA wanted to meet Sharad Pawar before leaving from Vidhan Bhavan. But considering Pawar’s age and health, it was not appropriate to make him walk long distances. The office of the Deputy Chief Minister is located very close to the exit gate, hence for the sake of convenience it was decided to hold the meeting there. Shashikant said – rumors are being spread

Shashikant Shinde said that since the beginning of the monsoon session of the Assembly, rumors about the party merging with Congress or joining NDA are being spread continuously, but there is no truth in them. According to him, in the current political situation, the party’s entire focus is on creating a strong opposition, raising public issues and making the government accountable.

Party MPs and MLAs united

He said that after six MPs of Shiv Sena (UBT) joined Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena, speculations have increased that there might be a split in NCP (SP) too. He clarified that all the MPs and MLAs of the party are united and the workers should not pay attention to these rumours.

Meanwhile, Shashikant Shinde held a meeting of district officials in Pune to address the concerns of party workers. He informed that the party will start a statewide campaign from August 15. Under this, senior leaders will visit every district and strengthen the organization.

Political discussion increased due to meetings

Sharad Pawar attended the meeting of the high-level committee of the state government on the Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute after 28 years. After the meeting, he had a courtesy meeting with Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in his chamber and also met his party’s MLAs there. The party has called it an informal meeting.

On the other hand, the meeting of BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde and NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Jayant Patil also came to light. After these continuous meetings, the discussion about the formation of a new equation between NDA and NCP (SP) intensified in the political circles.

Some reports have claimed that there are differences within the party over the possibility of joining the NDA. According to the information, MLA Rohit Pawar is not in favor of any such decision and is said to be a supporter of remaining with Mahavikas Aghadi.

It is also discussed that he may soon clarify his public role on this issue. However, there has been no official announcement from the party in this regard.

Sanjay Raut said – he has full confidence that Sharad will not join NDA

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said that Sharad Pawar is a senior and respected leader, but it was not appropriate to hold the party meeting in Eknath Shinde’s office. According to him, giving such political prestige to those who overthrew the government and betrayed it gives a wrong message.

However, Raut also clarified that he is confident that Sharad Pawar will not join NDA. He said that he has no doubt on Sharad Pawar’s ideology, but the party meeting in Eknath Shinde’s office has made Shiv Sena uncomfortable.
