Bangladesh Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus said on Monday that people of Rohingya community in the country are becoming difficult to raise. He said that there are more than 13 lakh Rohingya in the country.

Yunus said- This is also a big challenge for the world with Bangladesh. The world should come together on this issue and help Rohingya Muslims back to their homes.

The people of the Rohingya community left the country after the violence in Myanmar since August 2017. After this, he escaped and settled in many countries. Most people reached Bangladesh. Then the Sheikh Hasina government gave shelter to millions of Rohingya people.

On the 8th anniversary of the incident, Yunus also released a 7 -point roadmap for the return of Rohingyas. He said that the pressure on Bangladesh’s economy and environment has increased due to refugees.

Refugee demands to return home

Rohigya Muslims, who have been living in Bangladesh’s Cox Bazaar for 8 years, celebrated ‘Rohingya Massacre Memorial Day’. During this time, the refugees had homecoming placards in their hands. Which was written- No More Refugee Life (refugee life no more). Representatives of international organizations and diplomats participated in this conference.

Refugees came to Bangladesh on 25 August 2017

Rohingya Muslims fled to Bangladesh on 25 August 2017 to avoid repression of the Arakan Army in Meanmar’s Ghail province. He was given shelter in the Cox Bazaar by the then government of Sheikh Hasina.

At that time around 70 thousand Rohingya came to Bangladesh. At the same time, more than 3 lakh refugees were already living in Bangladesh. Currently, the Cock is the world’s largest refugee camp in the market.

Who is Rohingya Muslims?

Rohingya Muslims are mainly a minority settling in Arakan province of Myanmar. They were settled here by the Mughal rulers of Arakan centuries ago.
