Air India laid off 1,000 employees in three years

Air India has fired more than 1,000 employees in three years for violating ethics and rules. These include smuggling of luggage by air, allowing extra luggage without charge and misuse of holidays. Nearly 4000 employees have been fined for irregularities in the leave travel policy.

Woman jumps from 8th floor after quarrel with husband in Pune, dies

In Pune, Maharashtra, a 35-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping from the 8th floor. The incident took place at Urban Life Tower Society of Talegaon MIDC area. The deceased has been identified as Pratibha Shankar. According to initial information, the woman had a dispute with her husband over some issue. After this she reached the balcony of the flat and jumped down.
