After voting for the Maharashtra Assembly elections on Wednesday evening, Congress workers in Nagpur vandalized the car carrying electronic voting machines (EVMs) to the strong room. The incident took place in Kila area of Central Nagpur constituency, when the polling officer was taking the EVM from booth number 268 to the strong room in a car.
However, the police clarified that there was no damage to the EVM. This EVM was not used in voting. It was kept on standby.

Police seized more than 10 thousand kg of silver from truck in Maharashtra
10,080 kg silver was seized from a truck in Dhule on the day of voting on 288 seats in Maharashtra. Nashik Special Inspector General of Police Dattatreya Karale said the seizure was made from a truck heading towards Nagpur in the limits of Thalner police station during a routine checkup at around 6 am. The police have informed the election expenditure observers and the Income Tax Department. Police say that prima facie it seems that the silver belongs to some bank. Further action will be taken after verification.
