A hidden camera has been found in the ladies toilet of an engineering college in Bengaluru, Karnataka. A B.Tech student has been caught red-handed while recording. He was hiding in the adjacent toilet and was recording by keeping his phone in the ventilator.

According to the police, a girl saw the phone. She quickly came out and locked the adjacent toilet in which the student was hiding. The girl shouted and called more people. After this, the accused was dragged out and locked in the principal’s chamber.

Then the police arrived and arrested him. The accused has been identified as 21-year-old Kushal Gowda. He is a resident of Chikkagollarahti, Magadi Road and is a 7th semester student of Computer Science. A 15-minute recording has also been recovered from his phone.

Police said- college management is also responsible, CCTVs are not working According to the police, the girl had raised an alarm after seeing the camera at 10.45 am. This means that the accused had put the mobile phone on recording at around 10.30 am.

Officials said that the college management should also be blamed. The CCTV cameras installed near the ladies toilet are not working. Apart from this, no female attendant was posted near the toilet.

Police said that a case has been registered against the accused student under sections 77, 351(2). His phone data is being examined to find out if he has done this before.

The camera was hidden in the dustbin right in front of the toilet seat in the washroom of the coffee shop. It was recording for two hours. A woman noticed the camera.
