The poster of the upcoming film Black Deer, based on the black deer hunting case involving Bollywood actor Salman Khan, was released on Friday. The first look and teaser of the film will be released on June 20.

The film will show the dispute between Salman Khan and gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Talking to IANS about the film, the film’s producer Amit Jani said, ‘In 1998, Salman Khan was accused of hunting black buck in Kankani village of Jodhpur. The courtroom drama, crime, thriller related to that case and the enmity between Lawrence Bishnoi and Salman Khan has been presented in film form. The shooting of the film has been done in Sambhal, Moradabad and other cities of Uttar Pradesh.

He further said, ‘Bollywood actors present during the shooting in Jodhpur included Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Satish Shah and others. The events related to the alleged black buck hunting that took place at that time, the arrest and punishment of Salman Khan are shown in the film. The poster of this film was awaited for a long time. People were waiting for a cinematic story based on Salman Khan, Lawrence Bishnoi and the black buck hunting case. On June 20, we will release the first look and teaser of the film.

Black buck hunting case came to light in 1998

The blackbuck hunting case related to Salman Khan dates back to 1998, when he was accused of hunting endangered blackbuck under the Wildlife Protection Act during the shooting of the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ in Jodhpur.

On April 5, 2018, a lower court in Jodhpur convicted Salman Khan and sentenced him. After this decision, Salman had to go to Jodhpur Central Jail, but later he got bail.

Currently the hearing on this matter is going on in Rajasthan High Court. The next hearing of the case has been fixed for July 13, 2026.

Lawrence had expressed his displeasure on Salman

It is noteworthy that Lawrence Bishnoi has publicly said that he is angry with Salman Khan regarding the black buck hunting issue. In an interview given to ABP News from jail in 2023, he had said that killing Salman Khan is the aim of my life. However, he had also said that if Salman comes to the Mukti Dham Mukam temple of Bishnoi community and apologizes, then the controversy can end.

At the same time, in the year 2024, there was firing outside Salman’s house (Galaxy Apartment), the responsibility for which was taken by Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother sitting abroad, Anmol Bishnoi.
