Evolve your thinking respectfully.” Nupur further wrote, “I am the one to whom Kriti ties Rakhi. When I have no problem with it, why are you having a problem?”

People accused this ad of wrongly portraying the festival and hurting religious sentiments.

Controversy due to dress and pet dog in ad

This whole controversy started after the Rakshabandhan ad of a jewelery brand. In this, Kriti was seen in Indo-Western bralette style blouse. In the video, apart from her brother, she was also seen tying Rakhi to her pet dog.

Many people on social media had expressed their displeasure over the actress’s clothes, calling it an insult to Indian culture and demanded to lodge a complaint.

Some users termed this advertisement as insensitive towards Hindu religion and festivals. While posting on X, a user wrote that a case should be registered against the actress for wrongly portraying the holy festival of Rakshabandhan and hurting religious sentiments.

Kriti Sanon’s answer – Culture is in the heart, not in the neckline.

Kriti Sanon has responded to the trollers. She wrote in her post that ethnic fashion has changed with time, but even today women’s respect for their culture is measured only by their clothes.

The actress raised the question that when will society stop telling women what they should wear? He said that culture and traditions lie in a person’s heart, not in his neckline.

Kriti said- I also tie Rakhi to my sister and pet dogs.

Talking about Rakshabandhan, Kriti said that this festival symbolizes the bond of protection and love. He told that he and his sister Nupur Sanon tie Rakhi to each other, because both of them protect each other no less than any brother.
