In Haridwar, Uttarakhand, a person was working in SIDCUL’s security company for three months. Local people knew him by the name of Sadaram. Three days ago he also started a tea shop in Bhupatwala area. Everything looked normal, but on Friday morning the shutter of the shop did not lift. When the shop owner lifted the shutter, he was shocked to see the view inside. The person living by the name of Sadaram was hanging from a rope. He immediately informed the local police. Police reached the spot and started investigation. The deceased did not have any identity card. When his belongings were searched, Aadhaar card was found. On the basis of this document, he was identified as Surendra Koli, associated with the Nithari incident. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem.

During initial investigation, the police found out that Surendra Koli was dead for the last three months. Haridwar Was working in a security company in Sidcul. After this he decided to start a tea shop in Bhupatwala. It had been only three days since he started the shop. He had taken the shop on rent from a person named Dharmendra Kaushik. According to Dharmendra, Surendra met him in the name of Sadaram. He came in contact with him through a friend. He had talked about getting work and told that he was a diabetes patient. After this he was given the shop.

According to Dharmendra, he too was not aware that the real name of the person whom he knows as Sadaram is Surendra Koli. Apart from this, Dharmendra told the police that a day before the suicide i.e. Thursday evening, Surendra was looking very depressed. On the same day, it was the birthday of a child in his family and he had no money. Hearing this, Dharmendra gave him Rs 2000 in the evening. After this, the reason why he took such a big step is not yet clear.

When the shop did not open in the morning, I lifted the shutters and looked.

Dharmendra Kaushik told the police that people were standing at the tea shop on Friday morning. But the shop was not open. When he saw that the shutter was loose, he lifted it. Surendra was hanging with a rope inside. Dharmendra told that he could not even recognize Surendra at first. He knew him as Sadaram. He was not aware that he was Surendra Koli associated with the Nithari case. After this the police was informed. Police reached the spot and took possession of the body and started investigation.

According to Kundan Singh Rana, SHO of the city Kotwali, at around 11.30 am on Friday, the police received information that a person had committed suicide in the Kotwali police station area. After reaching the spot, his identity was checked. According to the police, the deceased had hanged himself by tying a rope. No ID was immediately found with him. Later, he was identified as Surendra Koli from the Aadhaar card found during the search of luggage. The police have informed his family members about the incident.

Lived in Roshanabad, had gone to Dharmendra asking for work.

Shop owner Dharmendra told that Surendra earlier lived in Roshanabad. Local people also knew him by the name of Sataram. At present, the police have taken possession of the body and started investigation. No suicide note has been recovered from the spot. According to the police, the real reason for suicide has not been revealed yet. Information about this will be available only after interrogating the family members.
