This decision has been taken in view of the continuous demonstration of employees in Noida who took to the streets by stopping work for three days in protest against the arbitrariness of the company owners and the delay and irregularities in salaries.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Following the instructions of Gautam Buddha Nagar administration, new guidelines have been implemented for industrial units. The administration says that through these rules, protection of workers’ rights will be ensured and the district is being developed as a model of labor reforms. District Magistrate Meha Rupam held a meeting with the representatives of industrial units and informed them about these rules. He clarified that if workers are hired for overtime work, it will be mandatory to pay them double the regular wages. Along with this, no deduction of any kind in overtime payment will be allowed. The administration has also issued instructions regarding weekly holidays. All industrial establishments will have to ensure one day off in a week for their employees. If an employee is employed on Sunday, he will be paid wages at double the rate.

Salary will have to be paid in one installment by 10th

According to the news agency, clear guidelines have also been given regarding the process of salary payment. All industries will have to ensure that employees are paid salaries in a single installment by the 10th of every month. Along with this, it has also been made mandatory to give salary slips to the employees, so that transparency in payments is maintained. A deadline has also been set for bonus payment. According to the instructions, the bonus amount will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of all employees by November 30. The administration believes that this will bring transparency in the payment process.

Attention will have to be given to women’s safety

Many instructions have also been issued keeping in mind the safety of women at the workplace. All industrial units will have to set up an Internal Complaint Committee, which will be headed by a woman member, to settle cases of sexual harassment. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to install complaint boxes at the workplace. The administration has also set up a control room to resolve the complaints of the workers. According to officials, workers can register their complaints through designated helpline numbers and they will be resolved promptly. The administration says that regular monitoring will be done to ensure that these instructions are followed. Action can also be taken against industrial units violating the rules.

On the other hand, the protest of employees continued in Phase-II industrial area of ​​Gautam Buddha Nagar on Sunday also. Employees demonstrated for the third consecutive day demanding increase in salary discrepancies and arbitrariness of company owners. During the demonstration, the employees stood firm on their stand and raised slogans against the management regarding their demands.
