The mobile app has been launched by Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation.
Liquor lovers living in Delhi will now be able to book liquor online through a new mobile app while sitting at home. This app named ‘Delhi Liquor Booking’ has been launched by Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DCIIDC). Through this, about 208 retail stores are connected across the city.
However, home delivery of liquor will not be done. That is why after making online payment, one will have to personally go to the shop and collect his bottles within 48 hours.
The location of the shop will also be available in the app and you will also know at home at which shop your favorite liquor brand is available.
QR code received after booking will have to be shown at the shop
On launching the online booking app, officials said it aims to reduce crowding and waiting time at shops, reduce pressure on payment counters, and bring transparency in pricing and billing.
By accessing the app, customers can view the available brands, choose the store of their choice and decide the bottle size and quantity. After online booking and payment, consumers will get a QR code, which can be scanned at the shop to easily buy liquor.
Limit of 18 liters of beer and maximum 9 liters of whiskey
According to officials, to book liquor using this ‘Delhi Liquor Booking’ app, a person should be at least 25 years of age. A person cannot buy more than 9 liters of whiskey and 18 liters of beer.
There is no provision for returns once the product is sold or picked up from the store, however, orders booked before picking up the bottle from the store can be cancelled.
You can book by choosing the shop of your choice after seeing the brand.
Officials said that on the app, customers can see the available brands, choose the store of their choice, and decide the size and quantity of the bottles. But there is no provision to return the liquor sold or taken from the shop. However, orders booked before receiving the liquor bottle can be canceled.
