Delhi Police has arrested gym trainer Aaqib alias Imran, the main accused in the murder of 21-year-old model and Delhi University student Muskaan in Tilak Nagar.
During the arrest, he had an encounter with the team of Western District Special Staff, in which the accused was shot. Injured Imran has been admitted to the hospital.
According to the police, Imran is 26 years old and earlier worked as a gym trainer. On Wednesday evening, Muskaan was alone at home, while her family members had gone out. Meanwhile Imran reached his house.
There was an argument between the two over some issue, after which the accused stabbed Muskaan several times with a knife and fled from there. Muskaan was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared her dead.

According to the police, in the CCTV footage, Imran was seen entering Muskaan’s building at around 5:40 pm. The woman working in the house saw Muskaan in an injured condition on the second floor and informed her family.
At 7:24 pm, a PCR call was received at Tilak Nagar police station regarding a knife attack. A case of murder was registered on the statement of Muskan’s brother and he had also expressed suspicion on Imran. After the incident, the police had formed about 15 teams to search for the accused.

Imran was angry after talking to another young man
According to police, Muskaan was a second year student of Delhi University’s School of Open Learning and lived with her family in West Delhi.
The accused knew Muskaan for about one and a half years. Investigation revealed that he was angry with Muskaan for the last two months. Police suspect that the accused was angry over Muskaan talking to another youth.
Imran and Muskaan also met in a hotel on August 20. Now the police is trying to find out what dispute took place between the two before the murder and what was the real reason behind the incident.
