A major accident took place in Milan Garden area of Harsh Vihar in North-East Delhi on Sunday evening. There was chaos in the entire area due to the sudden collapse of the slab of an under-construction house. After the incident, hearing the loud noise, a large number of people gathered at the spot.
Delhi The fire service and local police were informed about the accident at around 7 pm. As soon as the news was received, fire department vehicles and police forces immediately reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
A senior police officer said that the team of Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has also reached the spot to speed up the relief and rescue operations. Police and emergency service teams are jointly carrying out rescue operations.
Fear of people trapped under debris
Till the time of writing the rescue operation was going on at the spot. What caused the accident and whether any person is trapped under the debris or not has not yet been officially confirmed.
