A woman from Tamil Nadu, who had gone to Kuwait to do domestic work, has released a video alleging harassment. He said that he did not get proper food for 50 days and was not even given salary for two months. The woman claims that she is being mistreated for the last two months. He has appealed that he should be brought back to India. The woman is a resident of Kallakurichi, Tamil Nadu. The woman has been identified as Vanitha. She hails from Kallakurichi district of Tamil Nadu and had gone to Kuwait about three months ago for domestic work. In the video surfaced on social media, Vanita is seen asking for help with folded hands from a room. In the video, Vanitha is seen appealing in Tamil. She said, I can’t tolerate it anymore. Please save me and bring me back to India. The family appealed to the administration for help. After the video surfaced, the Tamil Nadu administration traced the woman’s family. Vanitha’s mother Vennila and other family members have filed a complaint for her safe return. Vennila alleges that the agent who sent her daughter to Kuwait cheated the family. He said that Vanita had gone to Kuwait to help her family financially, but she was being treated very badly there. Vennila has appealed to the district administration to bring her daughter back to India safely. As soon as the complaint was received, the administration started action. Kallakurichi Superintendent of Police said that a complaint has been received from Vanitha’s family. However, the allegations of harassment, non-payment of salary and non-payment of food made by Vanita and her family have not yet been independently confirmed.
