Security agencies have arrested two people, including a government school teacher, in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. Both are accused of providing shelter, food and other help to Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists. The arrested teacher has been identified as Mashkoor Ahmed. He is posted in a government school in Inderwal. A case has been registered against him under UAPA. According to officials, he used to provide logistics support to terrorists in Chatru area. This case is related to the encounter that took place in Dichhar-Chatru on 4 February 2026, in which terrorist Adil was killed. Here, on Wednesday, a Pakistani terrorist who was trying to infiltrate the LoC in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch was killed by the Indian Army. IED related items have been recovered from him. A terrorist has been shot. Jaish commander was in contact with Saifullah. According to investigating agencies, Mashkoor Ahmed was in contact with Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Saifullah. According to police sources, a photograph of Saifullah was found from the house of the accused, in which he was garlanded with currency notes. The investigating agencies are seeing this as a close connection with the terrorist organization. Jaish commander Saifullah was killed along with two foreign terrorists in ‘Operation Trashi-1’ of security forces in Chatru on 22 February 2026. Who was Jaish’s commander Saifullah? It is said that Saifullah had infiltrated into Jammu and Kashmir about five years ago. He was the mastermind of several deadly attacks on security forces, including the July 2024 attack in which four soldiers were killed. 7 terrorists were killed in the army operation in Kishtwar. White Knight Corps said that apart from them, Army Intelligence agencies including Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF were also involved in Kishtwar. 2 Army operations in 2026 Operation Trashi-1: This operation was launched on January 18 in the forests of Sonar village near Mandral-Singhpora in the Chatru belt. In the first encounter, 8 soldiers were injured, out of which Havildar Gajendra Singh died during treatment. This was followed by separate encounters on 22 and 24 January, while on 31 January there was fresh firing in Dolgam area. It has ended with the elimination of 3 terrorists in Chatru. Operation ‘done’: On February 4, the White Knight Corps conducted a joint operation with CIF Delta, Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF in the Joffer Forest area of Basantgarh. Security forces used UBGLs (Under Barrel Grenade Launcher) on the terrorists. Due to which a part of the cave was demolished through explosion.
