Vijendra Nath Tiwari, brother of Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi, has been attacked with an ax in Gopalganj. He was seriously injured in this incident. He has been referred to Patna PMCH for better treatment. The incident took place in Belsand village of Barauli police station area.

Vijendra Nath Tiwari was sitting at the door of his house late on Sunday evening. Meanwhile, some people came and suddenly attacked him. During the attack, he fell down bleeding. The attackers fled when nearby people and family members reached the spot.
Vijendra Nath Tiwari was immediately admitted to the emergency ward of Sadar Hospital. After first aid, considering his condition, the doctors referred him to Patna PMCH.

Fear of attack due to land dispute
Doctor AK Mishra told that the wound mark is half an inch deep on the back, one inch deep on the shoulder below the neck and half an inch deep on the shoulder near the neck.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the local police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. Police have registered the case based on the statements of the victim and eyewitnesses. According to police, the attack appears to be linked to an earlier land dispute.
Sadar SDPO- 2 Rajesh Kumar told that a few days ago Vijendra Nath Tiwari had got soil filled near his house, after which there was a dispute regarding the land.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, the accused attacked Vijendra Nath from behind with an axe. The police have arrested the accused. Further action is being taken.
Dainik Bhaskar tried to contact Pankaj Tripathi regarding the matter, but his phone was switched off.
There was a talk with the actor’s team. The team confirmed the attack on the elder brother on the phone and said, “The information is correct. Pankaj Sir’s phone is currently switched off. Pankaj Sir’s wife told that the incident took place in the village. The person from there attacked him and the elder brother is currently admitted in the hospital in Patna. The police is investigating the matter, hence cannot give more information at the moment.”
