Shivani Rana talked to Dainik Bhaskar app on this victory. Shivani Rana told that on October 16, she has completed 21 years and now she has become the head of Gram Sabha Dhargaon of Bhilang area.

Didn’t accept defeat even after nomination was canceled in July
Shivani Rana told that earlier she had filed nomination for the post of Pradhan in the Panchayat elections held in July, but during the scrutiny of nomination papers, her age was found to be three months less than 21 years. His nomination was canceled at that time due to his date of birth being 16 October 2004.
Now, when nominations were filed again in the by-election process, I was the only one who filed my nomination from Dhargaon. On October 16 at 5 pm, I got the information about becoming the head. He told that at the time of Panchayat elections itself, the people of Gram Sabha had made it clear that he would be their next head. There are a total of 218 voters in our village, out of which more than half of the people have migrated.

Shivani Rana told that there are 7 people in her family. They are five brothers and sisters, one elder sister. Father’s name is Vishal Singh Rana, who is a utility vehicle driver. Mother’s name is Sumitra Rana, who is a primary school teacher (Shiksha Mitra).
He said that he did his schooling first from Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Dhopardhar. Then studied till 12th from Government Inter College.

After this completed B.Sc in 2024. After this, now I am doing B.Ed from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar. When I told about contesting elections in my house during summer time, my family members cheered and encouraged me.
Shivani Rana told that after becoming the head, first of all she will work to stop migration from the village. The school is very far from his village. For this she will talk to the officials. Apart from this, the roads leading to the village are also bad, due to which children have to face a lot of problems.

Shivani Rana told that she is currently studying and wants to continue her career in studies only. He was a little fond of politics, so he contested the village head election. Even if any party gives her MLA or MP ticket, she will not contest the elections.
She told that she can do much better in the field of education, hence she has kept this as her target.
His goal in future is to make a career in the education sector. Told that the biggest problem of Dhargaon is narrow and damaged roads. As head, his first priority will be to repair the roads. Consensus has been reached in five wards out of the seven ward members of Gram Panchayat in the by-election. Five Gram Panchayat members have been elected unopposed.
