Imran Khan was about to start the promotion of this film after Diwali, but now the situation is not clear whether Imran will stay in India or not. The official release date of the film has not been revealed yet, so postponing the film would be the best option. It is further told that the team does not want to start the promotional campaign until the situation is clarified.

Making a comeback after 11 years

Imran Khan was last seen with Kangana Ranaut in the 2015 film Katti Batti. After 11 years of this film, now Imran Khan is making a comeback with the film Adhure Hum Adhure Tum, in which Bhumi Pednekar is going to be in the lead role with him.

Imran Khan is now preparing to go to Bombay High Court against this notice. His legal team has told ANI that the appeal is expected to be filed next week.

Imran will challenge the order in the High Court

According to NDTV report, Imran Khan’s legal team will file a petition in the Bombay High Court next week. His advocate Zulfikar Memon told that on October 10, Imran Khan was passing through Nana Chowk when he gave the statement when the road was closed and media persons asked questions.

The legal team has demanded the police to release CCTV footage of the area to make it clear that Imran was not involved as a protestor.

Just before being taken into custody, Imran had said that as a city resident, he had come there to see the restrictions and the suppressed voice of the people.

The whole controversy started with Kirit Somaiya’s complaint

This whole matter started after the complaint of former BJP MP Kirit Somaiya. Somaiya had written a letter to Mumbai Police and FRRO alleging that Imran Khan, being an American citizen, participating in the political protest is a direct violation of OCI rules and visa conditions.

According to the Citizenship Act, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders get the facility to reside and move in India, but they are not allowed to have any political rights or participate in the movement in India. This entire legal action has started due to CJP’s participation in the protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
