Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) leader Sardar Aman Khan has launched a scathing attack on Pakistan’s political and military establishment, accusing the country’s generals and colonels of serving American interests rather than the people, while questioning the government’s economic policies and the growing burden on ordinary citizens.

In a strongly worded address in Trarkhel, Aman criticised rising prices, the privatisation of state institutions and an economic system that he alleged protects the luxuries of those in power while leaving ordinary Pakistanis struggling to meet basic needs.

‘Generals And Colonels Are Agents Of Imperialism’

Questioning the loyalty of Pakistan’s military establishment, Aman accused senior officers of serving foreign interests rather than standing with the country’s people.

“When America is mentioned, none of these generals and colonels are loyal to us,” he said.

“None of them are loyal to the public; these are the agents of imperialism,” he added, identifying America as the imperialist power he was referring to.

Aman also challenged the authority of those occupying positions of power. “None of us maintains the sanctity of anyone. Millions of oppressed people do not maintain the sanctity of those above. We do not maintain the sanctity of any higher-ups,” he said.

Who Will Speak For Baloch, Sindhis And Pashtuns?

Aman raised concerns about the conditions faced by marginalised communities across Pakistan, questioning who would stand up for those struggling under the existing political and economic system.

“The conditions that have been created today in Pakistan, who will raise up the oppressed and the subjugated?” he asked.

“Who will raise the helpless, the Baloch, the Sindhis, the Pashtuns, the Punjabis?”

IMF Policies Under Fire As Aman Questions Rulers’ Luxuries

Turning to Pakistan’s economic situation, the JAAC leader questioned why ordinary citizens were being forced to bear the burden of rising prices while the privileges enjoyed by political leaders remained untouched.

He cited the cost of cooking oil, petrol and diesel to highlight the financial pressure on households.

“How does cooking oil jump to 400? Petrol and diesel, why did it jump from 400?” he asked.

Aman also criticised the role of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in shaping Pakistan’s economic policies, alleging that its recommendations targeted public resources while ignoring the privileges of those in power.

“If Maryam Nawaz gets a plane, the IMF has no complaints,” he said. “But the price of flour goes down, the IMF gets angry,” he added.

He further questioned proposals to privatise government land and public institutions.

“Government land and institutions are being privatised. The IMF makes recommendations on these matters, but to eliminate the luxuries of the rulers, the IMF does not present proposals,” he said.

Calls For A Government That Represents The People

The JAAC leader called for a fundamental change in Pakistan’s system of governance, arguing that citizens should not have to depend on those in power for employment, infrastructure or other basic necessities.

He urged people to unite against existing inequalities and work towards establishing a society governed by representatives accountable to the public.

‘Dialogue Is The Only Solution’

Despite his sharp criticism of Pakistan’s establishment, Aman Khan said the authorities were still being given an opportunity to resolve outstanding issues through negotiations.

He urged the government to engage with the people and address their grievances instead of allowing discontent to deepen.

He said the JAAC was extending another opportunity to the authorities to settle the matter peacefully, regardless of the prevailing circumstances.

“Dialogue is the only solution to this issue, negotiations are the only solution to this issue,” he said.

His remarks also carried a warning against continued inaction, as he indicated that the people would not remain dependent on the authorities indefinitely.
