According to news agency ANI, the notice has warned media organizations, digital platforms and content creators from creating and spreading false, defamatory, ill-intentioned, fabricated or unverified content related to Govinda or his family. Govinda has warned of civil claims up to Rs 100 crore against such people.
Notice on rumors of court marriage and divorce The notice was issued after it was claimed online that Govinda had a secret court marriage with Rani Swarnkar. Earlier, news about Govinda’s alleged divorce had also spread on social media.
Warning on use of AI and digital content The notice also mentions digitally altered content. This includes photos, videos, audio recordings, morphed images, deepfakes and AI generated content.
According to the notice, there is no permission to use Govinda’s voice, photo, identity or lookalike. In particular, the use of AI or other digital technologies for content related to their personal or family life is prohibited.
Action under defamation and cyber crime The notice mentions action under applicable laws related to defamation, privacy violation, misuse of identity and cyber crime. In this, the Indian Judicial Code, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 have been cited.
These actions may include freezing bank accounts, prohibiting the sale or purchase of property and confiscating passports.
Govinda said – such activities can cause harm
Govinda expressed concern that a deliberate campaign could be run to tarnish his public image. He said that such activities can cause mental and social harm to them.

Govinda was spotted outside a hospital in Juhu area of Mumbai on Saturday. He was seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and a mask on his face. When the paparazzi asked him about his health, Govinda just said ‘I am fine’. However, the reason why Govinda went to the hospital has not been revealed.

I’m hearing this from you. There is nothing like this nor will it happen. Second marriage is not happening. She is his wife and perhaps something must be going on in his mind, that is why he said this.
Shashi said that if Govinda really wanted to end the marriage and get married again, he would have filed for divorce himself. According to him, the divorce process was initiated by Sunita and later she withdrew the petition.
