The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is eyeing new signings from the United Kingdom and Europe, according to a report by Fightful Select. Speculations are that the names of Aigle Blanc, Mike D Vecchio and Zozaya are under consideration as the company aims to widen its main roster. The trio could be joining the list of WWE stars in the coming months following a recent UK-based recruitment event.
Blanc and Vecchio are touted to be signed in from the independent scene, as per a report by Cultaholic, which said the two wrestlers will be the two new additions announced by WWE from the tryouts the company carried out earlier this year. The report claimed sources within the company have confirmed the signings and the two players could be on board as early as September 2025.
Blanc, the masked French wrestler, started playing in 2014 and is a regular for Germany’s wXw promotion. The flamboyant 26-year-old derives his name from ‘White Eagle’ as Aigle Blanc means in French. His mask and design contain several white eagles. He has enjoyed a rapid rise with great performances in the UK’s independent wrestling scene for NORTH Wrestling and RevPro. Blanc is primarily known for his performance in the German professional wrestling promotion Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw), where he is a former Tag Team Champion.
A pro wrestler from Belgium, Vecchio is a regular fighter in the European independent wrestling scene for wXw, RevPro and PROGRESS. Vecchio is the reigning wXw European champion. Notably, he won the gold prize from Blanc in October 2024. The 110-kg wrestler is known for his tenure with various promotions from the European independent scene. Vecchio also makes appearances for All Japan Pro Wrestling.
Blanc and Vecchio both appeared on the B Block of All Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Champion Carnival. While Vecchio bagged eight points, Blanc finished with six. The two European wrestling stars also joined hands to contest for the All-Asia Tag Team Titles against Yuma Anzai and Rising HAYATO, facing a defeat.
Goldenboy Santos is another pro wrestler the WWE is reportedly interested in. But a signing is not expected in the immediate future as Santos currently remains sidelined with an injury.
