Amit Shah to meet newly elected BJP MLAs in Kolkata, RN Ravi dissolves West Bengal Assembly, new Chief Minister and Council to be sworn in May 9 at Brigade Parade Ground

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in Kolkata tomorrow to attend a meeting with the newly elected BJP MLAs, during which the party’s legislative leader will be selected.
The Governor of West Bengal, RN Ravi, dissolved the Legislative Assembly of West Bengal today. The new Chief Minister of the state and the Council of Ministers will be sworn in on Saturday, May 9th, the birth anniversary of Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the swearing-in ceremony at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata.
Necessary administrative meetings are being held, and tight security arrangements are being put in place for the occasion.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, senior BJP leaders, and Chief Ministers from other states are expected to attend the oath-taking ceremony.
