WhatsApp Outage: Messaging platform WhatsApp is currently down in India as several users reported difficulties in uploading their statuses or sending messages on the Meta-owned app on Thursday late evening.
Several users said that they were unable to use the messaging app on mobile and computer, as per DownDetector which tracks outages by collating status reports from several sources including user-submitted errors on its platform.
What DownDetector Said?
As per DownDetector, at least 1,186 complaints were registered against WhatsApp till 11:16 pm.
The #Whatsappdown started trending again on X as more people reported problems on the platform.
“Whatsapp is down. Zuckerberg trying to fix my sleep schedule,” a user commented.
“Is whatsapp down? My messages aren’t being sent even if my internet is stable…,” commented another.
Why WhatsApp Is Not Working?
There was no immediate statement from WhatsApp on the outage.
Some users speculated that the outage may be related to an update of the app.
