In a major turn of events, the grandfather of a four-year-old girl has been identified as the prime accused in the rape of the minor in West Bengal’s Hooghly district. According to News18 sources, the man has been detained and is expected to be formally arrested later in the day.
The shocking incident occurred on Friday near Tarakeswar railway station, where the child’s family had been taking shelter. Officials said the girl was resting beside her parents when she was allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted.
