Dror Goldstein, an Israeli businessman and partner of Nina Kutina, claimed that he’s been denied access to their daughters after Kutina was found living in a Karnataka cave with their children.
The father of the two children surfaced and spoke out about his battle for joint custody, days after Russian national Nina Kutina and her two daughters were found living in a cave in Gokarna.
According to a report of the Indian Express, citing a police complaint filed in Goa, the Israeli man and Nina Kutina had two girls – one was born in June 2018 in Ukraine and the other in May 2020 in Goa, India.
Goldstein reportedly continued to financially support Nina Kutina and their daughters despite growing apart. He allegedly started to distance himself from Kutina due to her “verbal abuse” toward him.
“I slowly started cutting off my contact with her due to her behaviour towards me. I felt as if I was used only for money purposes,” he added.
He stated that he regularly visited Goa to spend time with Nina and their daughters. However, Nina began avoiding him and would “disappear for days without informing him.”
“I tried to approach her and our daughters and made multiple attempts, but she never permitted me to meet them,” he was quoted as saying.
He told police that after Nina’s son passed away, he tried to support her and their daughters by booking a hotel room in Panaji. However, Nina allegedly prevented him from seeing the children during that time
He also alleged that Nina would “brainwash” the children, asking the girls to stay away from him.
In his police complaint, the Israeli man stated that he was taking this step due to his concern for their health and emotional well-being.
“They are not allowed to socialise and are kept in a closed group… I want to be a part of my daughters’ lives and provide for them financially and emotionally,” the complaint said, as per the Indian Express.
A Russian woman, Nina Kutina, and her two daughters were discovered living in a cave in Karnataka’s Ramatirtha hills on July 11. They had reportedly been residing there for about three weeks. Local villagers discovered them and alerted the authorities, which led to their rescue. The children are now in a safe home, and their father, Dror Goldstein, is seeking custody.
Nina, 40, told police she overstayed her business visa due to “complicated reasons.” Her visa expired in 2017, and she had left for Nepal with an exit permit before returning to India. However, in 2018, she returned to India and was reportedly residing in Goa before relocating to Karnataka.
