Union Minister of State and West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar has created a stir in West Bengal politics by proposing to include North Bengal in the North Eastern states. TMC is furious over Sukanta Majumdar’s proposal. TMC has completely rejected it and termed it as an attempt to create unrest in the state. BJP says that this plan is not to divide Bengal but internal conflict has also come to the fore in the BJP regarding this. Sukanta Majumdar is facing criticism from his own party MLA. Karshiang BJP MLA Vishnu Prasad Sharma has termed the party’s state president’s proposal as unrealistic.
