Waqf Amendment Bill 2024: The Waqf Amendment Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. While introducing the bill, the opposition accused the government that this bill is against the Constitution and hence the court will reject it. Responding to the allegations of the opposition, senior BJP leader and former Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the purpose of the bill is to bring transparency and accountability in the matter of Waqf properties.
