The city of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh is all set for this year’s Dev Deepawali celebrations, with all preparations completed for the grand event. According to district officials, the highlight of this year’s festival will be the lighting of 17 lakh lamps across the 84 ghats in Varanasi. The Uttar Pradesh administration has planned to light 12 lakh lamps, while various other organisations will contribute an additional 5 lakh lamps.
