Following the deadly stampede at a Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata that left 19 people dead and 25 injured, Suvendu Adhikari visited the site of the tragedy. The state government announced ₹25 lakh compensation and a job for the family of each deceased victim, along with ₹5 lakh assistance for the injured.
