Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the media in the Parliament House complex before the proceedings of both the houses of Parliament for the Budget Session, said that the Monsoon Session of Parliament is starting today. The country is watching very closely that this session of Parliament should be positive, and should lay a strong foundation to prove its worth to the countrymen. Earlier, in the all-party meeting called on Sunday regarding the Budget Session of Parliament, the government also sought cooperation from all political parties for the smooth functioning of the Parliament. Referring to the return to power for the third time, PM Modi said, “I see this as an important milestone in the pride journey of Indian democracy. Personally, I and all our colleagues feel that it is a matter of great pride that after about 60 years a government has come back for the third time and has got the privilege of presenting the first budget of the third term, the country is watching the pride journey of Indian democracy.”
