The matter of the death of IIT Bombay student Sahil has become big. Every engineering student dreams of studying in IIT, but the death of a student here has raised questions. 20 year old Sahil was a resident of Yavatmal, Maharashtra, doing B.Tech in the Energy Science and Engineering department of IIT Bombay. According to the family, he was smart since childhood, first in every class, father Ravindra is a bank employee, mother teacher, dream of doing something big for the country inspired by former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. He died on 18 September in the hostel of IIT Campus. The family says that an FIR was lodged against the Dean and Professor Suryanarayan Doola. It is alleged that they were harassing her for 3 months, on her request other teachers were also harassing her, abuses and caste related words were used in the institute. Police added sections of SC/ST Act. Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating, the family is demanding a CBI investigation.
