The central government has big news for lakhs of government employees. The Union Cabinet has approved the Unified Pension Scheme. The government claims that this will benefit 23 lakh central government employees. This scheme will come into effect from April 1, 2025. This will be an optional scheme. Employees will have the option to choose either NS or UPS.
