NEET 2026 exam date: A big update has come out regarding NEET exam. The government has fixed June 21 as the new date for re-exam. With this decision, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has also indicated major changes in the examination system. In a press conference, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the CBI is now investigating the irregularities and alleged paper leak cases that have come to light this time. The agency has started immediate action and efforts are being made to get to the bottom of the entire matter. This investigation will not be limited to just the accused, but will also find out where there were lapses in the security of the examination.

Amidst this entire controversy, the government has also made it clear that changes in the examination system are necessary in the coming times. From next year, NEET exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode instead of OMR sheet. With this, efforts will be made to make the examination process more secure and transparent.

The government has also said that it will implement the recommendations of the Radhakrishnan Committee. However, the question is that even when these recommendations were followed, how the system was breached. This is the reason why CBI is now expected to take full responsibility.

A strict warning has also been given. It has been said that if any person tries to tamper or cheat in the examination, he will be given severe punishment. The government has given clear indications that this time any kind of malpractice will not be tolerated.

This news has brought both relief and concern for lakhs of students. While on one hand the uncertainty has ended with the announcement of the new date, on the other hand the pressure of taking the exam again is also there. Now the eyes of the students are on June 21, where after this entire controversy, the fairness of the examination will be the biggest test.
