Maharashtra Politics: Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey is going to contest from the city’s Versova assembly seat. Recently, another former police commissioner Parambir Singh had alleged that when Sanjay Pandey was the DGP, he had pressured Anil Deshmukh to withdraw the bribery charges he had leveled against him. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also alleged that a conspiracy was hatched to arrest Uddhav Thackeray when he was the Chief Minister. Sanjay Pandey was the DGP of Maharashtra and Mumbai Police Commissioner during Uddhav’s tenure. Sanjay Pandey was also arrested by the CBI in the NSE phone tapping case.
