Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui was shot dead by three people in Mumbai’s Bandra East area on Saturday night. Two people were arrested immediately after this incident. According to the information, at least two-three people ambushed him outside his office.
It is said that as soon as he reached the office, the attackers came running and fired several rounds of bullets indiscriminately at Siddiqui. He was hit by four bullets, one of which hit the chest. Police said two people were detained from Andheri East immediately after the firing and further investigation is underway by the crime branch.
