Cabinet Minister Prahlad Joshi has been made the new Education Minister. Apart from the existing departments, he will also have the responsibility of the Education Ministry. The President of India, on the advice of the Prime Minister, has accepted the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan from the Union Council of Ministers with immediate effect, under clause (2) of Article 75 of the Constitution of India. Apart from this, on the advice of the Prime Minister, the President has directed that Cabinet Minister Pralhad Joshi should be given the charge of the Education Ministry along with his existing departments.
