The pipeline of Narmada Kshipra Link Project in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh suddenly burst near Bherughat on Indore-Khandwa Highway. A fountain of water about 40 feet high came out from the pipeline that burst with a loud bang. The pressure of the water was so strong that the fountain reached the high tension power line, causing a massive explosion and chaos in the entire area.
Due to the strong current, the surrounding areas were flooded which entered many houses. Due to this, some domestic conflicts of the people also got spoiled. Also, vehicular movement was affected due to waterlogging of the road near Bherughat temple and long queues of vehicles formed on both sides. As soon as information about the incident was received, the departmental team reached the spot, stopped the supply and started repair work.
